For Mothers

A dusty old magnolia tree
sleepy, quiet as can be
sometimes I forget to see it's there

yesterday that evergreen
blossomed like I've never seen
a gift from heaven like an answered prayer

flowers pink with just a trace
of God's perfume, a fragrant grace
even winter can't displace it's hue

magnolias are another way
of God reminding me to say
don't forget on mothers' day that you

mother, sacrificed
and gave the earth another life
like the Son, you reflects God's way

a mother's traits like a mothers love
all are strengths of God above
mom, I love you, happy mothers' day

The imagery in this tribute to your mother is beautifully done.
