For Me

I called out your name
In the cold of the night
I reached out for your hands
In the loss of my sight

I'm burnt up in the flame
Thats so blue from your eyes
I'm stitching the tears of my heart
Caused by deep hurt of your cries

Listen to me
Listen to me
That's the least you could do
For me

I called out your name
Hoping you'd hear and look back
With a smile hung up on your face
Like I'm used to seeing on you

A pierced heart is the gift
That I left at your doorstep
Well, that's sad enough for me
A painful memory for you

Hate is all there is
In our lives and in our hearts
While love was meant for some of you
I'm not a part

The pain seared through this poem. Clever and acutely masterful. xxjanine
