For Marie and Charm
So we are grown away
Like smoke from the kitchen
Each desire-swept away
A flood kidnapped kitten
And still across the years come
The song when we were so dumb
Marie says she will sing me a song
Sing, sing, sing me a song
Charmie says she knows Marie is wrong
She knows Marie is wrong
Charmie says she will sing me a song
Sing, sing, sing me a song
Marie says she knows Charmie is wrong
She knows Charmie is wrong
And all we have left is this
Fragment of our childhood
In a broken world for bliss
Longing for the unseen good
Ans till across the years come
This song when we were so dumb.
