For Love of Our Country
Whether it’s Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines,
The men and women in service protect your rights.
For some, it’s a job… for others, it’s a dream.
To be part of a group that helps you sleep at night.
Those in the military put their lives in danger.
They’re willing to do things that most of us wouldn’t do.
They’ll lay down their lives and die for a perfect stranger.
How many people do you know who would do that for you?
As a country, we need to back these women and men,
And give them our respect and tell them that we’re so proud.
They leave their families for tours time and time again.
They are the silver lining to war’s darkest cloud.
Nobody enlists with the hope of going to war,
But they’re well aware that someday they may have to.
You, as an American, have lots to be thankful for.
Next time you see someone in uniform, say, “Thank You!”
