For Hg Daniel
The poet's hand shakes between the lines
Yet in his heart the words spring true
Time tells our wisdom with infallible signs
When the end comes it shall not be new
For we have ended dreams
We have torn up belief
And have stifled ancient screams
Paving the cold road of relief.
My brother poet, and my friend, I too keep
Each human drop of friendship from sleep
Trembling to write
The stillness of the night.
