For Her

Every line holds a tale,
Within the wrinkles on her face,
From a lifetime of love and laughter,
Along with hardships she embraced.
Behind the twinkle in her eyes,
Secrets are locked inside,
Memories from yesteryear,
Where she goes to hide.
Every strand of silver hair,
Holds a chapter of her life,
Daughter, sister, mother,
Also a loving wife.
She’s survived every heartache,
Forever she stands strong,
Battling every turmoil,
Making right, every wrong.
A protector and provider,
Her love knows no bounds,
She fights for what she believes in,
As she walks uncharted grounds.
She deserves to be cherished,
She’s earned her honoured place,
Love is etched in every line,
On her beautiful aged face.

This is a beautiful tribute to a special person, perhaps your mother. Nicely written, Kay, I immediately thought of my mother as I was reading it. John

Hi John. Thank you so much for your lovely compliments and kindness. Yes, this was indeed written with my Mum in mind. Kindest Regards Kay
