For Goodness Sake
Church Bells ringing,
As choir boys sing.
Parishioners gather
And get into the swing,
Loudly singing in harmony,
Today the church is the place to be.
Problems are put on hold here,
At this particular time of year.
Friendly smiles and happy faces,
From people of all different races.
Prejudice and discrimination,
Has no place in this congregation,
Why if folk feel this way?
Is it more pronounced on Christmas Day,
Maybe it takes time to sink in,
That Almighty God is the King,
Of the universe, so there,
Without faith in God, man will get nowhere.
