For Audrey

Irresistible eyes my baby,
Cupids bow lips my sweet,
Rosy red cheeks my angel,
Long flowing hair so neat,
Delicate ears so shell like,
A smile that melts my heart,
That's how I see you my darling,
and pray that we're never apart.

Thirty-seven years together
have passed in the blink of an eye,
Three Daughters and lots of enjoyment
just made those years pass by,
St John's in the Parish of Fulbourn
on a Saturday early in May,
The Reverend Bolt in attendance
telling us just what to say.

You carried a bouquet of roses
golden just like your hair,
The walk down the aisle was enchanting
and just like walking on air,
Our family and friends together
in the church yard under the boughs,
For the photos of a magic occasion
when we partook of our vows.

Excellent rhyme and rhythm, Peter, the style I like. This one must have earned you some points, I'm sure. Brilliant!
