For a Song and a Story

For a song and a story,
you are welcome to stay
at the bed and breakfast,
welcoming you for more than a day.

For a song and a story,
sizzling bacon and eggs are the fare,
topped off with steaming coffee,
as the hostess serves you with care.

For a song and a story,
your room is cozy with a lace curtain,
and a comfortable log cabin quilt,
maple furniture adds ambience for certain.

For a song and a story,
you enjoy sitting on the front porch,
listening to the birds singing close by
attracting mates as they carry a torch.

For a song and a story,
the peaceful stay is almost over,
wishing it would last forever,
like having a perpetual four-leaf-clover.

For a Song and a Story B and B thanks
you for visiting and hopes you return
for a weekend of rest and blissful dreams,
a getaway which makes you yearn.
