For a Love Lost

FOR A LOVE LOST That agonizing of the heart is not in letting go, but what was never plain to me and what I'll never know. These sleepless nights are what I wish you'll have, along with me, and never know a minute's peace, as long as time shall be. My wish is you will never know love more than in-complete, but go from one love to the next, not knowing those you meet. My hope for you is not in love, but love's catastrophe, the very same I've come to know, the rest of life for me; I pray your life to be a mess, and know the truth of it, love is not gentle nor a friend, but puzzles you can't fit. Your smile is tired, and shows alone, it hides your broken mind, and so, the lover I have known no one will ever find. © ron wilson aka vee bdosa the doylestown poet
