For a Lifetime
There is a place within my heart
that for a lifetime will belong to you.
I will remember to cherish you, but
only for a lifetime.
My love for you will remain and
I will love you true, but only for a lifetime.
Happiness I want for you, but not
just for a lifetime. Forever!
I hope that you retain such memories as your heart
stands still, but only for a lifetime.
However true my love for you, eternal love I cannot give you,
not even for a lifetime.
