For a Friend

For a Friend

Deep in the forest of your dark Spanish eyes
Past the gaudy shops and glaring street signs,
There is a dim distant glow,
You think it is far, but look: how steady it shines
And though small, it is whole and continues to grow.

You are disillusioned and tired of this pointless game,
And try to escape, out of the rigid old frame
And your restrictions and chains.
You long for the other,
Who You think will fill and complete You
But your childish lovers, till now
Simply use and deplete You.

You search for your knight, with the warming flame
To light up your life and ignite your soul,
And think that this time it won’t be the same,
But all he can do is take
And burn a hole.
He said, “I’ll never break
Your heart or make
You cry,
I can’t live without You and will love You till I die”.
You wish You had that in writing
As he left without even saying goodbye.
And again, You don’t understand why.
And again, You feel cheated, hopeless and used,
Abandoned, angry, frustrated and abused.

But your heart, though right now, feels confused,
IS pure and strong.
Even though You’re still bruised
And even with all the wounds and scars,
I know how beautiful You REALLY are,
So for me, You don’t have to hide
Or think that You’re somehow wrong,
For deep inside, I know You have also a song
And only You can sing it
And only You can bring it
Out,
So that You can also know
That You are much much more than just your mind,
And when You let go,
You fall, but will find
Soft grass in the garden of your being.
And your tears can wash and heal your pain
And are cleansing and strangely freeing.
And as they melt the mists of your shame,
And though in the gap,
Hear me calling your name.
And ever so slowly and gently,
You
Start to open your doors and windows again.

Your sensual, fierce love is still
   So natural and pure
And even when You sometimes
Feel, shy and insecure,
Please remember:
You are
A proud and powerful Queen,
Yet gentle and tender,
And a wise deep Woman, whose truth
Can heal and clean.
So don`t be afraid, stand tall
Then your presence can be felt
And your light can be seen,
And one day your King will come
And will ask: “where have You been?”

You are
A free spirit, a daughter of this Sacred Earth
You are
Already rediscovering your treasures,
Inner pearls and diamonds beyond measure.
And to find your pure essence,
Must leave your cheap compromises, expectations and fear
And come back home, come back here.

You follow your Soul’s threads into the open sky
The wind is whispering, inviting, so trust your wings and fly.

She, calls You by your secret name
And your dim distant light, becomes a roaring flame.
As You laugh, the Mother embraces the child
And as You dance and shake your Lionesses mane
The Woman is free – gentle and wild.

Deep in the forest of your dark Spanish eyes
Past the gaudy shops and glaring street signs
There was, a distant glow
It was far, but now, look: how steady it shines
And: it is whole and continues to grow.
