Footprints In Water

I've walked and walked in all these years
I've walked and conquered some of my fears

I've tried to leave my footprints behind
So there'll be a path someone else can find

But when I look behind me
The footprints I find are so many

None belong to me
And I can't find mine in this footprint sea

How many people have walked, I wonder
How many with their own tears and laughter?

So many have walked through every weather
So many, it feels like I made my footprints in water
