Footprints

Looking at my own beach it is but one set of footprints I see
I'm not here to preach only telling others how I became free
For never was it that I was alone as is the Lord by your side
And in that little scene shown such truth couldn't be denied

All those times I called out those times I cried out His Name
In those dark days of doubt and in every sense of it's shame
With every single long night in just the making of my way
The Lord Jesus was carrying me in His Might every single day

In those days that I'd miss in choosing not to take the time
Always quick to remind me of this in my very next rhyme
Even in taking the wrong path He'd in turn carry me home
Making me aware of the Fathers wrath of the places I roam

And in praising all His Glory so as to witness for all to see
Jesus being the whole entire story and He can set you free
Even now as we speak I see you also have only one set too
And even though you don't agree one day you'll see it true

I do agree :} and like this line especially - "Even in taking the wrong path He'd in turn carry me home Making me aware of the Fathers wrath of the places I roam"

I often think if people knew His great love, not to mention His unimaginable rewards, they'd be lining up like at Walmart on Black Friday. But so many just don't know Him. God Bless You.
