Food For Thought
Love is not finding someone to live with,
of that there is no doubt!
Love is finding that someone
that you just can’t live without!
The real measure of your wealth,
which may sound kinda funny!
It’s how much you’d be worth
if you lost all your money?
Here’s something that I heard somewhere
which I considered sound advice.
“It’s nice to be important,
but, more important to be nice!”
It was Disney’s Jiminy Cricket
who’s sound advice I still recall,
“If you can’t say something nice,
don’t say nothin at all!”
Don’t try to be someone you’re not!
No, please don’t be mistaken!
Just go ahead and be yourself,
everyone else is already taken!
Life is like a flowing river.
You’re probably thinking, what?
It carry’s you into the future,
whether you want to go or not!
Sometimes life is a struggle
of that there is no doubt!
Seems things turn out best for people
who make the best of how things turn out!
Some folks have trouble gettin ahead
but, don’t be broken-hearted!
The secret to gettin ahead in life,
is simply gettin started!
I’ve been around for quite a while.
I’ve found this to be a fact,
if you truly love life,
life will love you back!
The two most important days in your life
which I find is hard to deny.
First, is the day that you were born.
Second, the day you find out why!
To succeed in this life is important.
That everyone understands!
That life is what is happening to you
while you’re making other plans!
There’s a female silent screen star,
noted for being tough.
Mae West, once said “you only live once,
but done right, once is enough!”
