Follow Your Heart

When we compromise what we know to be right,
We may as well throw in the towel, cause we’ve already lost the fight.
When we lay aside our morals we open many unseen doors,
Doors that lay hidden in darkness that were not visible before.

It takes so little to change our fate, to fall deep into the devils abyss,
That is why we have to be vigilant to avoid all wrongful temptations at all cost avoid the evil ones kiss.
It always starts out, try it, it ain’t going to hurt you,
Like bait on a hook, one bite, and your life could be through.

The devil knows our every weakness and that is what makes him so strong,
And he will do everything in his power to keep you from hearing God’s word and being where you belong.
He will fill your mind full of lies and scramble your every good thought,
He is ruthless and cunning and he knows that Jesus paid for our salvation, and on that cross our salvation was bought.

The devil is an illusionist that uses deceit to lure us to his lair,
Trying to lead us astray with twisted thoughts that mask the sign BEWARE!
While God has left instructions that guide our daily walk,
That those who seek salvation to Him they must earnestly talk.

God never tries to trick us and leaves all choices in our hands,
Of which roads we choose to travel and He makes it clear so all can understand.
God is the light at the end of the tunnel, your life raft in those storms,
With love and mercy shown us as He holds us to His bosom and cradles us in His arms.

the road broad and spacious and many are the ones finding it, the road narrow and cramped and few are the ones finding it, god is the key to our salvation and satan knows it he sits and studies our every move and tries to tear us away from doing what's right and then when you get caught, he sits back and laugh, what a write, great take care D-nyce

The road is difficult to choose but it's like a long hard journey with richer rewards than anticipated. Vince

Ron, this is so well written. You have put it out for all of us to understand. You and Michael are working along the same line in these poems. I hope it will be printed for all to read. We all can use some reminding now and then. God bless you pal. Thanks for the beautiful words and the song on my poem Messages From Heaven.
