Follies a Beckett Tribute

1)
compassion
        a walk
          a phase
past a parapet
             to trust
a bridge to serve
    in an evening
        of gladness
gliding
  as a blaze in the
                    dark
2)
this caring
          canyan
a watershed
a platform
     an idea
         in focus
of measured attention
enlarged
        on a palette
ablaze
   in the dark
3)
forsaken
voiceless
   yet unaltered
pretending
   to be different
wearily
in despair
sorrowed
learning apace
in instant rest
   as pity ebbd
4)
outside
    a glimpse of starlight
and
a smooth sphere
a brief sound
         in space
wrought
  in the highmost
                 place
always
& evermore
           flowing
              freely
and
necessary
to this night
             of grace
5)
a perfect
      partition
in a window
    on yesterday
         the void
extinguished
belief
   repossessed
in an instant
hesitation
of panic constrained
as
calm returns
to become
resolution

Brian, this well-built poem has such a calm, uplifting feeling created from your imagery. I especially liked this part: "4) outside a glimpse of starlight and a smooth sphere a brief sound in space wrought in the highmost place always & evermore flowing freely" Well done as usual.
