Foiled

It shone
Finally, the rain had fallen
An end to the dust monologue

And then
Like foil unwrapped
Unmasked
Naked
It lay infront of me

Helpless
Hopeless
They wailed again
Their bellies screaming
The voices gone

The scars of their tears blinked
Only for a second
The river began to flow again
I wondered
Why the weather changed it's colors so fast!

In my country, many are facing hunger and there is lots of famine, the rainy season lasted all too short and the sun scorched too long. Thanks all for the comments. They have revived the energies to continue scribbling. GBU

Not sure of what you speak. Nicely written anyway. I like line two and three and also the last line. Keep writing. Sar
