Notes About The Poem

Free Starry Night Sky Image - Starry, Night, Sky | Download at StockCakeTwo wildfires are going in south Georgia and the smoke is coming all the way up here and we've been advised to not go out because of air quality, etc. The air is dry, the vegetation is dry and the wind blowing with all working together it keeps on going and spreading plus spreading the deadly air this way. The condensation from the creek is called creek rise..

For Nette..

Fog In Those Eyes

Georgia has two separate wildfires burning fast The smoke upon the creek rise does settle And the fog rise mixed with smoke Gets in my eyes as though cast How that smoke in eyes does nettle Can't see stars through fog's cloak

Thank you, Victor. The fires are still burning so the news sited yesterday. I have not heard this morning. They need some very steady rainfall for a few days to help put the fires out and to help others to not start. Sara K

I was hoping that the prospects of rain would put the fires out, but it hasn't so far. Your review was understanding. I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Sara K

A well penned poem with excellent descriptions makes this a worthy contender in my eyes. Your imagery leaves a lasting impression, Sara. Those who have to endure these events have my deepest sympathy, Howard

you described dusty, smoky skies quite well. When we lived in El Paso, Texas, we experienced forest fires in the adjacent Franklin Mountain.....that smoke along with the dust in the air was sometimes unbearable. Nicely penned. hugs, Sara B

Dust and smoke mixed would be really hard on the lungs, Sara B. I am glad that is not happening there at this time, but of course, there a large amount of forest wildfires raging at this time all over the USA. Your nice review was encouraging. Sara K
