Tulips

Fog In Those Eyes

for Mother

Her purple tulips are in bloom now
but her aged eyes cannot see them,
fog in those eyes has her seeing
only ghosts from a spring long past
when frolicking amongst garden flowers newly bloomed
was as sweet as her first love.

Yep. Mom is 91 and no longer able to get out and see the flowers, but we bring her bouquets.
