Fog

Drifting from a distance
Through the hollows of the bridge.
The hazy mist is auroral
As we sit upon this ridge.

Pink, mauve, and tangerine
Color the fog with such radiant hues.
Golden Gate tips peeping from
Where colored clouds fuse.

Blood in my veins chill
As the gloomy fog carries her winds.
You hold me in tender embrace,
And whisper what comes to mind.

This is the enchanted dream,
From which I wish to never wake.
Our souls together as we look
Down upon the fog so opaque.
