F.O.C

In writing a prayer
that flows from the heart,
open your mind
and tear it apart

——-

Find the one thing
that you want most,
but put it aside
to greed it boasts

As we pass from
this wondrous earth,
possessions and things
aren’t what they are worth

The love we carry
hold and protect it inside,
cause its all we take ‘
to the other side

Coming to terms
with past mistakes,
isn’t the easiest
decision to make

Forgiving yourself
is the hardest to do,
beating a psyche
till its black and blue

Just letting it go
to litter the past,
and smiling each day
until it curves last

To make every moment
a golden tribute,
into the miracle of life
no man can refute

Sing with your heart
if you can’t hear,
your god will hear you
he’s always near

Lifting the moss
that covers the rock,
shining a stone
with the heel of a sock

In every action
minute and large,
is redemption found
