Flying Jewels

Hummingbirds flitter, flutter, dip and dive, seeking ambrosial nectar from ample garden blooms. Delightful, these tiny flying jewels with iridescent feathers-- they fly but cannot walk. Little hummers darting from bloom to bloom, their wings in ceaseless motion-- Welcome to my garden. 3/28/17 Entered in Laura Loo's Any Poem written in March 2017 contest

What a delightful poem. I am longing to get a feeder for this summer. I did see a hummer near my front door when I first moved in here last June. Hugs, SuZ

Thank you, Phyllis! As much as I love hummingbirds, I haven't seen one in years.
