Notes About The Poem
I started writing a sonnet just one for fun then had to lay it down to do something for a family member then my sonnet took a turn that I had not anticipated..Sara

Flying Free

Pastel Easter dresses on morn's sunrise
After a long cold windy spring night
But now the golden sun is shining bright
Giving promise of all day sunny skies

Baby pears adorn the Barlett pear tree
Blueberries hang on the Blueberry bush
Pale pink rose that on trellis grows has blush
Baby birds in lined snug nest waiting to fly free

Free as baby bird flying free what freedom
No more excess chores to occupy day
Just to sit close to Him to forever stay
Fly away freedom from pain nor more serfdom

Promise of beautiful day externally
Promise of free life eternally

I read your "about this poem" and you do have a unique sonnet style here, Sara. While reading it, I was caught up in the images of the blueberries, birds, flowerw and the Bartlett pear tree with baby pears on it. Thank you for taking me on this flight of freedom! Love, Carolyn

Beautiful poem to go with a beautiful picture Mrs. Sara. Sometimes I wish I could fly like this. The time will come, until then I am becoming more and more content to bide my time in his service by encouraging others to be ready to sprout wings when their time comes. Lovely poetry, you had a nice rhythm and your end rhymes were tactful. I liked the third stanza immensely, but the second one had great imagery as well.
