Fly Off the Pages

    Why can’t we learn beforehand
        life lessons we learn afterwards

     Not grounded in experience
words fly off the pages like birds

Good question. In my case, maybe I over-trust myself vs. others - or maybe, because I'm more comfortable with my own mistakes than with other peoples. Hmm, I'm not sure. Food for thought.

Ha, ha. I know I can justify nearly every mistake I've ever made my entire life. Talk about self-love!

Great epigram, and true. I've asked that question many times. Just like my dad used to say, "this one will have to learn the hard way".

Why IS that? Why can't we learn from others' experience?! ~ Anyway, gw

Hi Gershon, such true words wisely penned. I should of known beforehand my learning disabilities would impede me in the Navy. Oh well, I tried. My late husband, older brother, niece and nephew all did well in the military.

That's right. You tried. You were in the arena. unlike so many who wimped out. ~ Gershon
