Floyd's Lament

Floyd’s Lament Why were you so harsh with me- Because I am black? Why were you harsh with me- To impose your flak? Why were you harsh and cruel didn’t you hear me cry? Why were you harsh I ask You can’t hear me from the sky. Does your shame not torment you For the change you’ve caused That vague false so true Will you not answer or pause? This deed has sparked a fire In every heart humanly true Like a contagious wildfire Do you see any difference between me and you?

Cruelty extends to all. You can’t possibly be a good person who treats anyone with such contempt. Murder began with Abel. God saw the blood of Abel and sees the blood of all. Vengeance is His. God bless you, Trevor.
