Flowers Wild and Free
Flowers how they do delight
The senses both of smell and sight
And to the touch the softest petal
Upon which butterflies do settle
The rose with its most subtle bloom
That brightens up the dullest room
And daffodils and tulips too
With colors that are rich and true
What of lilies with stately stems
Nature’s brilliant little gems
With stamen pollen dusted tips
Which kiss the bees with nectar lips
The honeysuckle so divine
And jasmine growing on a vine
Which fill the air with perfumed scent
And fills you up with pure content
The pansies with their rainbow hues
So many flowers from which to choose
Geraniums and Fuchsia bright
Magenta, purple, pink and white
Poppies, daisies, foxglove heads
Blossoming in their garden beds
And sunflowers as they track the sun
Until the day is almost done
The best of all are flowers wild
Colors vivid and fragrant mild
That flourish with abundant glee
Forever wild, forever free!!
