Flower To the Tree
The flower said to the tree one day
Why is it you are always in my way
I do my best to grow in this clay
Why is it you have nothing to say
The flower was very upset and mad
Wanting back the sunlight it had
Early in the spring it was never sad
The tree grew leaves and was being bad
The flower hollered to the tree real loud
Hey you with your head up in the cloud
With all them leaves it is quite a crowd
Something I know you are very proud
The tree finally heard the flower squeak
Seen that it was now pale and bleak
Even though its' language sounded greek
It spread the leaves and gave the sun a peak
