Flower Messages

FLOWER MESSAGES

See the poinsettias on Christmas morn
As they tell us that Christ is born.
Red like the crimson they speak of the flood
There shed on Calvary--His precious blood.

	Flowers preach a message to you and me,
	Flowers preach a message of liberty.
	Hear them declare it in their own way,
	The message of Jesus to us today.

Now see the lilies that make Easter bright,
Beauty and splendor are clothed in white.
Yet like a trumpet they shout out the sound:
Jesus is risen, He’s not in the ground!

Flowers speak of springtime, life that is new;
This life’s in Jesus and can be yours, too.
Oh, if you’ll let Him, you’ll see through these flowers
That His life’s abundant through all the dark hours.

	These words can possibly be set to music.
