Flower Gardening

gentle white daisies
waving petals toward sun
beckon birds to flight

bright purple pansies
celebrate the warm season
with radiant smiles

naïve pink roses
hasten to open petals
where butterflies land
~
joyful red lilies
spread sensitive foliage
awakening bees
~
lavender hostas
lifting high above the plant
embracing sunshine

So Lovely Regina. I have a huge back yard where I have many gardens . I love to sit there in the summer enjoying the smells of the flowers. Roses are my favorites along with lilacs, Hollyhocks, lilies,pansies, and I plant lots of wild flowers to attract butterflies. I always have a border of marigolds to discourage the aphids who love the roses and hollyhocks. Love this poem. Thanks for sharing. God Bless, JB

I love flower gardening, but don't do it as much as I once did. I spent all my Summers in the garden at one time, but not so much these days... busy. Love to see your gardens. Bless you
