Florida Haiku

Breeze teasing Palm trees,
Turtles sunning by the pond,
Lovely winter day.

Hey Bob thanks for dropping in :), have you been checking in on my blogs? They will help you understand...emotion something viseral and evocative called "mono no aware"- the touchiness of things[the alarm ring was visceral]/ should be after the cut which is usually at the end of line 2..this verse is missing its cut/kireji..hope that's a wee bit of help? Thanks so much for all your support! Light & Love

Reads like the place to be in the middle of winter..Enjoye just a moment thinking of the warmth and sun..Thanks for the comments on my work..Yes, I watch the birds from my kitchen window. Those Mocking Birds are fast and tough but sometimes the cat outsmarts them...I feed my cats well but one of them is really bad about catching wild things for inbetween meal snacks..Sara

:) It looks pretty much the same in the summer, doesn't it, Robert? Enjoyed your haiku. You live near lake Okeechobee, right? I bet you see some gators sunning right beside the turtles there. Love, Carolyn

Ahaa sure just rub it in you guys and gals who live in Florida. Seem to be a fair bit of you down there who write and tease us about the warm weather. ha ha We have a balmy -21 C today but clear and sunny. You create my kind of winters day. God Bless Phyl
