Flight

7:30 Pm 21 Oct 2014

I stumble out of my body so frail
Then off through forever I sail

I see places far and near
passing by a blurr yet clear

Why do I have to fly so fast
Why not slow down and make it last

Buzz along with a bumble bee
Sit and sing with a wren in a tree

Swim through the depths of the ocean wide
Following the whales and the dolphins at their side

burrowing deep with the lowly worm
becoming an atom what secretes to learn

Off into space as reflected sunlight
reaching through the cosmos what a wonderful flight

This is not transcendental nor is it zen
It's my imagination and dreams that I travel in

God gave us free will and creativity
To be like Him so we can see

Just how special we are to Him
And if we really look we can see Him grin

Watching His children create and dream
Living and loving is what life means
