flight
I'd spread my wings to soar in flight
If I but had the courage to make the leap
Brave and bold I'd face the morning light
I'd rage against the coming of the night
And when seduction spun silken songs of sleep
I'd spread my wings to soar in flight
And though no ancient god would heed my plight
Though come the dawn my woes I'd have to reap
Brave and bold I'd face the morning light
In life's arena I refuse to fight
I'll weather storms and sail the oceans deep
I'd spread my wings to soar in flight
Though sorrows still assail me in all their might
No salt-drenched fears nor hopeless tears I'll weep
Brave and bold I'd face the morning light
And now I come to the final edge of sight
To embrace the dawn the shadow's fingers creep
I'll spread my wings and soar in flight
Brave and bold I'll face the morning light
