Flies In Disguise

Are they flies on a motorbike Because that’s how they sound Wearing yellow striped jumpers, Whilst they’re riding around? Are they short legged spiders With cool super powers, Who love hopping about And sniffing the flowers? Are they big hairy moths That come out in the day. And think my packed lunch Is somewhere to play? Are they miniature mammals. That can glide through the air And never get cold Because they’re covered in hair? Are they small aeroplanes With miniscule pilots, That descend from the sky To dive bomb the violets? They come out in the spring As they don’t like the snow And one thing’s for sure (If you’ve seen one, you’ll know) They are grumpy and rude And don’t beg your pardon If they try to push past you When you’re sat in the garden.
