Flames
Flames
Where do we stand at night?
For there is no answer in the light.
Darkness hovers over me
In the mirror, there is nothing to see.
Above us are flames dancing in the sky.
Everything we believe in, is just a lie.
Six feet deep, I will remain.
Let the lightning strike, for I am to blame
Burning candles set in the window
Let the loneliness set in, for there is no place to go.
Fall into a deep sleep like a nightmare.
In some way, I feel you are near.
The suffering runs deep,
Just like a lost memory.
The graveyard is inviting,
As loneliness is frightening.
One day I will look up and you will be here.
As I wake up from this dream, you will disappear.
The night is cold with chills.
You have forgotten me, for I know how it feels.
I shall descend far below.
Just maybe you will reach out, not to let go.
The affection between us, I want to be true.
In the shadows from afar, it is you.
The flames burn deep from within,
There is no secret for our feelings we have from back then.
There is no moment to embrace.
In the winter moon, time has passed and it’s too late.
I will never forget the words you have said.
Let the torture begin, for I have bled.
The chains hold me down in anguish,
As you stand above, you send your forgiveness.
I am overwhelmed by your kindness,
For your touch is so gracious.
May there be another chance between us
Instead of being isolated in emptiness.
My path of darkness has been for so long.
Your touch is like a lovely song
