Mark Koplin Poet Rhyme

Flame

we are surrounded by oceans of water
from which we cannot drink a drop
what we can is getting low
it’s now affecting every crop

our sky is full of smoke
from fire we can’t control
more hard times are coming
and it’s going to take its toll

everyday a battle, rages
what is truth and what is not
if we’re unable to figure this out
we're going to lose everything we’ve got

is it really the politicians
who are at fault and deserve the blame
or could it simply be the people
adding fuel to every flame
