Flakes
Silent fills the air
Darkness chills the night
Every wish I make
Another flake takes flight
Looking through the glass
Painted by Jack Frost
Thinking of the passed
And all the ones I've lost
Here on Christmas eve
Carolers still waltz by
Bringing Christmas cheer
To every one but, I
Then something seems to lure me
Beyond my fastened door
And somehow reassures me
I've done this times before
Now bundled in my coat
Colored lights all aglow
Staring in the sky
While standing in the snow
Feeling something special
Will appear before my eyes
Then fluffy little white specks
Soon drift down from the sky
It's funny how they wander
Reflecting light with flashes
Then melting on the ground
But lay on brows and lashes
It's these kind of, little blessings
That puts a smile on my face
Then melts away the loneliness
And fills me with God's grace
