Five

Five sisters. Each as pretty as the other.
Their names are Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring
and nameless. Whom to choose from them? I’d rather…
Five sisters! Each as pretty as the other!
I’d rather seek the blessing of their mother
to put on nameless this engagement ring.
Five sisters. Each as pretty as the other.
Their names are Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring.

* Ring finger is called nameless finger in Russian.

Thank you, dear Line. P.S.: Win is too strong of a word, in my case)

Your triolet was one of the most interesting to me. It was unusual and clever. I did not get the rhyme of rather with other, and some of your lines had irregular syllable count; however, this one scored high with me for just delighting me! Congrats.

Thank you for your kind words, Andrea. I share your point of view: the Russian accentual-syllabic and English syllabic verses differ - you calculate syllables, we calculate accents. I'm affraid, it can't be helped: despite the fact I write in English, the accentual-syllabic accent makes itself felt. Best wishes to you and your contests)

I think Andrea will like this Kurt. I enjoyed it very much and I did not know about the ring finger being called nameless. Best for a win. This form is pretty difficult for me. You did well. : )

Kurt, I appreciate the * because I had no idea, and it makes the poem even better. I kept expecting Nameless to be something pretty magnificent, and she is!
