Fishing

My parents always told me "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he will eat forever" It always annoyed me. Have you ever tried fishing before? It's hard to catch a fish I have gone fishing for days at a time and never caught anything. So just give me a fish I'm hungry now and could starve to death trying to catch one.

I enjoyed reading your poetry this morning Chris. I will not be reading poetry for a few days as I will be gone from Friday until Monday. I look forward to reading more of your poetry when I return. I wish you a weekend filled with good health, love, and loads of inspiration. Love and Blessings, Carol

I'm laughing now because I fish often. Today all I caught were baby catfish and crabs. Sometimes we catch so many we have to give some away. Other times, nada. Enjoyed reading your poem very much, but I don't think you'd win on "Survivor." Fishing skills help those competitors stay alive. Sometimes I even dream I am a fish warning others to stay away from the hooks and nets. I have to add this one to my favorites. Love, Carolyn
