Still haven't satisfied that craving. My 18 year old daughter just came back from a trip to Ireland (high school graduation present from my sister) and we were discussing fish and chips. Very nice imagery, Jan.

Jan, I LOVE this. This is one of my very favorite meals and I love the swimming in a sea of ketchup line (not sure about vinegar!!) BIG congrats in my contest.

Oh Wow Thanks Andrea:-) When I was about 5 the meal literally used to 'swim' in sauce and vinegar - I'm a little more discerning now lol:-) hugs Jan xx

When you say "By Jan Allison" does this mean you cooked this? and more importantly, for me? :)

I make a mix of Cocktail Sauce, Malt Vinegar, lemon and ketchup. You've given me a craving, Jan, and the closest place to get good fish and chips is an hour away. I hope your happy, lol. Very nice.

It is a 5 minute walk to us to the chip shop but we rarely go I prefer to cook at home so it is a treat for us to have them - we sometimes get mum from the care home so she can join us :-) hugs jan xx

I think there are more syllables in the closing contest summation than there are in the poem. That's exactly what the contest calls for though and I think you did a great job ... CayCay
