First Time I Heard Him Use Ain'T

First Time I Heard Him Use Ain’t

Ain’t you the one
who said forever?
Yes, that was me.

Ain’t you the one
who said I’d never?
Yeah, that was me also.

Ain’t you the one
who swore til death?
Oh, uh right.

Ain’t you the one
until your last breath?
Yeah, I guess so.

Ain’t you the one
wbo promised to protect?
Well ….. Yes, but.

Ain’t you the one
who promised to respect?
You don’t understand…

Ain’t you the one
whose love was undying?
I can explain….

Ain’t you the one
who now is lying?
Uhhhh …….

Ain’t you the one
who asked to be led?
I was desperate….

Ain’t you the one
who wanted to be fed?
I’m fine now.

I gave you what you asked for,
your still more sinner than saint.
You’ve frustrated me so
that I used the word ain’t.
