First Thought
First thought of my morning, last thought of the night,
my ethereal lover at the edge of my sight;
You live in my heart, and wander my mind,
my reason, my muse, my one of a kind.
The light of my day, the dark of my night,
the depth of my sorrow, my all that is bright.
Touch me through distance, hold me when near,
comfort my sadness, banish my fear.My flesh to your flesh, my soul to your soul,
lovers forever, no matter the toll.
I adore you my darling, through time and through space,
I live for your sigh and the sight of your face.
And now in the darkness in my bed as I lay,
You're my last thought of the night and the first of my day.
