First Sight

FIRST SIGHT
He told her he’d fallen for her charms. He said it was love at first sight, He really couldn’t explain it, But being with her just felt right. He wanted to sweep her off her feet, To dance the whole night long, Whilst gently serenading her With an old Sinatra song. Her heart was all of a flutter; A feeling she couldn’t quell. She surrendered to him completely, Totally under his spell. She thought they would be together, Forever and a day. One of life’s great romances, Faithful come what may. But sadly their love could never be. It was going to end in tears. For what he’d omitted to tell her was, He’d been married for fifteen years. 21st April 2019 What Was Left Unsaid Contest Sponsor - Line Gauthier

It is heart breaking and I can relate. It is all about timing and sadly this happens all the time to both genders. But if they are honest from the beginning that person may wait until things are resolved. Lies make a person too much of a risk. Poignantly and brilliantly written Bryn. Congratulations on your deserving win. : )
