First Night Last Day

I watched YOU be.  
One night. One day. 

Love grew this way.
Thinking you were the one for me. 
Skin so soft. Smile so strong. 
Eyes so big. Glare so deep. 
Love i would love to keep. 


I watched IT be. 
Two nights. Two days. 
Hate grew this way. 


I thought we were meant to be. 
Never imagined love would run away. 
Voice so harsh. Words so mean. 
Look so tough. Touch so rough. 
Hate i would hate to keep. 


I watched US be. 
Three nights. Three days. 
Pain grew this way. 
You believed i belonged to you. 
I thought this couldn't be. 
Eyes so black, so blue. 
Skin so red, so bruised. 
Heart so broken, so misused. 
Pain only grew. 
I knew this couldn't succeed
I knew this couldn't be. 


You watched ME be
Last night. Last day. 
Sorrow grew our way. 
As i walked away
We realized i can no longer stay. 
Tears so thick, so endless. 
Pain so deep, so wounding. 
Heart so shivered, so confusing.  
Missed me so much, so late. 
Finally you realize what you had, what a mistake. 
Now you watch what used to be. 
From our first night. To now our last day.
