First Nation Proud

First Nation Proud September 20, 2016

First nation proud still unfree

My nation taken, you and me

Peace in my land, they came

Power with force, life is not the same

They came with intention to kill

Took my country, killed at will

Humble people living free

Freedom taken from you and me

Resist with hope in our heart

A loving nation torn apart

Country taken, attacked my heart

We will not go away, we're here to stay

First nation proud, we'll have our day

Freedom for first nations

No trust in declarations

Freedom to the children, you and me

I want to share my world living free

First nation proud still unfree

My nation taken, you and me
