First March

As we stride through the year
we've passed months full of fear
weeks that weren't as sincere
& Days that only need us to be clear
We've faced new beginnings, fresh starts
we've met lovers, we've broken hearts
& now we march for the well being of humanity
because what comes next is fools gold or vanity
our loads become heavier with each walk
our words meaningful with each talk
if teardrops are water falls
the truth is no one knows
The first march we take
is dependant on the choices we make
the promises we break
& the dry leaves we rake....
