First Love

No matter where you go and who you might meet No matter who you find, no matter how sweet. It may seem like an Angel sent down from above But no one can take the place of a girl’s first love. The first person you kissed and held so tight The one whom you dreamed of night after night. The one who made you feel good from head to toe. The one who you held on to and hated to let go. Every time you see him the feelings seem to grow, Like a flame in the night, there’s a magical glow. Your heart beats with anticipation waiting for his call You hang on his every word as if he is your all. And when he’s beside you, it can’t get any better, Until he holds you close like a warm soft sweater. His touch so gentle and his embrace so tender, Its moments like those that you always remember. No matter where you go as the years rush past, You’ll always wonder why your first love didn’t last But it really doesn’t matter why you decided to part, For they will always be special deep down in your heart.
