First love
When we first met we were very young but our age didn’t matter to us
That’s when our love began.
You had long black hair and eyes of emerald green to me you were perfect
The most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
We would walk to school together holding hands as we walked along
After School in your house listening to our favourite song.
Days turned into months and months turned into years we had good times and bad times and there was laughter and there were tears.
But this is not a happy ending and it is tearing me apart as I have no idea
Just when we drifted apart.
I suppose as we got older we changed and the feeling die
Not able to hold on no matter how hard we try.
In the end we just went our separate ways getting over you took months
Not weeks or days.
I still think of you and wonder how you are feeling and where you are today
As you were my first true love and my memory’s of us never went away.
