First Flowers of Spring

These first flowers of spring, So brave and unafraid Are the rarest, sweetest And should never be touched, As they must be free to Emerge, unrushed, to rise One day at a time, just The way they were meant to be. We will see, eventually How they bloom and display, And what they become As the sun catches up, And they sway in the breeze, Young birds for them will sing Songs of destiny, to please These first flowers of spring.
