First Day At School

First day at school
There were shivers and rains
That came with some nervous veins
Children ran here and there
To greet and meet
When elders cared
To make everything sweet
First day at school
Was thrilling for all
Especially for parents
That felt excited by default
First day at school
Was less chaos
And more preparation
For a year ahead
That had hard work and nothing less
First day at school
Brought smiles to everyone’s face
Children wore masks
With normalcy and caution
Band aiding a Covid reaction
With optimism and much action
First day at school
Brought a tapping noise with shoes and blinds
On hallways filled with books and young minds
